The SPJ-NE Bill Marcus Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Bill Marcus, a dedicated journalist and long-time member of our New England chapter board. Bill was a respected radio reporter who worked with renowned organizations such as WBZ Boston, Fox News Radio, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, The Irish Times, The Irish Daily Mail, and Northern Sound Radio, among others. His work touched countless lives, and his passion for journalism made a lasting impact on the industry.
Bill passed away in 2020, and in recognition of his outstanding contributions to both the field of journalism and the SPJ-NE community, we renamed this scholarship in his honor. This scholarship supports aspiring journalists, helping them to pursue their education and career goals in Bill's spirit of integrity and dedication.
